STUDIO SEVEN Remixes Maison Mihara Yasuhiro's Melting Sneakers With Pastel Tones
A summery switch-up for the heavyweight kicks.
STUDIO SEVEN and Maison Mihara Yasuhiro are no strangers to collaboration, having joined together for several years of collaborative efforts by now. Ahead of Fall/Winter 2020’s partnership, the duo have issued a summer-ready quartet of Yasuhiro’s now-familiar low-cut layered sneakers, executed here in pale pastel shades.
Like Yasuhiro’s own FW20 footwear styles, these collaborative models are all about color. The weighty midsole detailing, squiggly foxing, beefy laces and premium canvas uppers are intact, while STUDIO SEVEN’s touch is realized by way of the small star emblem towards the heel and the shoes’ Salmon Pink, Light Yellow, Lavender or Mint colorway. Each sneaker is broken up by two-toned paneling that complements the main hue and finished with a branded tongue tag emblazoned with “THE OLD DAYS BUT THE GOLD DAYS.”
All four styles of the collaborative pastel low-cut sneakers are available on STUDIO SEVEN’s web store for ¥38,500 JPY (approximately $360 USD).
Most recently, Maison Mihara Yasuhiro showcased its Spring/Summer 2021 collection to an audience of puppets.
