J. Cole's PUMA Basketball Sneaker Spotted On NBA Practice Courts
Worn by PUMA Hoops team members like Kyle Kuzma, DeAndre Ayton, Danny Green and Rudy Gay.
With the NBA season set to resume at the end of the month, J. Cole‘s signature PUMA sneaker has begun popping up on practice courts at the league’s makeshift compound in Orlando. Sported by PUMA Hoops team members Kyle Kuzma, Danny Green, Rudy Gay, DeAndre Ayton, Marvin Bagley III and Marcus Smart, the bold basketball silhouette was first teased by Cole himself at NBA All-Star Weekend in February.
Technical specifications for Cole’s kicks have yet to be revealed, but from a looks standpoint it seemingly borrows from the RS-X line for its midsole tooling. This sizable midsole features mint green, purple, yellow and orange hits, and sits atop a translucent herringbone outsole. Uppers are muted by comparison, constructed of a black knit material with a lace overlay that snakes around the heel and is secured by anchors with hi-vis reflective hits. A “Dreamer” logo graces the heel to round off the look.
Although Cole teamed with the aforementioned Kuzma to help push PUMA’s Sky Dreamer silhouette earlier in 2020, this marks his first official signature style. See a gallery of PUMA Hoops team members practicing in the kicks above, and expect more information in the coming weeks.
J. Cole recently caused a stir in the world of music as well, with EarthGang member Olu recently announcing that the rapper’s latest album was “coming,” but had been delayed due to the COVID-19 coronavirus.
