UK Rapper SL Connects With Kenny Beats for "Little Bird"
Ahead of the artist’s upcoming ‘SELHURST SE25’ project.
18-year-old masked rapper SL burst onto the global stage at just 15 — his “Gentleman” video garnered over 35 million views and he’s been wearing a ski-mask ever since. A lot has changed over the past three years. Not only has SL become a better rapper, but he’s tapped major producers and even earned a co-sign from Drake. Now SL has returned with a new single helmed by Kenny Beats with “Little Bird,” following the duo’s “Bad Luck” collaboration from May.
SL’s flow is incredibly laid-back. His charisma as an emcee can be derived by just how casual he delivers each bar in a matter-of-fact cadence. Pair that with Kenny’s ongoing hot-streak as a producer and “Little Bird” is hard to deny. The visual, directed by Oliver Jennings, follows SL on-top of a pearl white Tesla in a sheep pasture. He drives through the countryside as a plane flies a Black Lives Matter banner overhead. The video is the last offering before SL drops his SELHURST SE25 project tomorrow, July 3.
