Buddy and Lucky Daye Collaborate on New Single "Faces"
An effortless and charismatic offering from the duo.
Buddy is on a roll. Fresh off his “Bad Boys” collaboration with Kent Jamz and poignant, timely “Black 2” single, the Los Angeles, California rapper returns with a summer-ready offering titled “Faces” featuring GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter Lucky Daye.
The Keep Cool/RCA label mates showcase their unwavering chemistry through smooth production from D’Mile. Heavy bass-lines meld futuristic keys and funk grooves while Buddy raps about some late night exploits with relative ease. The track follows his strong showing with Ken Jamz for their Janktape Vol. 1 back in April. Meanwhile Lucky croons, “Hello, it’s yo fantasy/ Know what you been waitin’ to see/ Baby, be patient with me/ ‘Bout time that we get involved/ Girl, you be doin’ too much/ F*ck what you talkin’ ’bout/ Take off your shoes in my house…”
Both Buddy and Lucky are charismatic in their own right, and their knack for original storytelling in their own mediums — Buddy with rapping and Daye through his soft singing — creates the perfect ambience. Stream Buddy and Luycky’s latest single below.
