Nike Air Max 90 "Infrared Blend" Is Covered In Exotic Animal Prints
Croc, ostrich, and more take up residence on this stark, striking AM90.
Nike Sportswear‘s Air Max 90 has surfaced in a luxurious “Infrared Blend” colorway. Blending luxury and sport in equal measures, the “Infrared Blend” serves up a recognizable retro running silhouette but adorns it with striking animal prints for a luxe take on a timeless Tinker Hatfield design.
Uppers are dressed almost entirely in black, and call upon a perforated nubuck for the base material. Shaggy suede is used on the lateral Swooshes and tongue badges. The medial quarter provides a vivid dash of color with infrared leather Swooshes and plastic “windows.” Apart from this bold pop of flair, the rest of the build is all about rich, dark black animal prints: pony hair is used on medial mudguards and toeboxes, stingray slinks onto tongues and throats, croc is present on lateral mudguards and ostrich appears on midfoot overlays and toe bumpers.
Finally, a basketball-style pebbled suede on the medial midfoot completes the upper’s material mix. Leather sockliners present a premium fit, and black EVA foam midsoles, Air Max units and rubber outsoles finish off the bottom half in signature style.
The Nike Air Max 90 “Infrared Blend” is set to release via Nike SNKRS Japan on August 7, and retails for ¥15,400 JPY (approximately $147 USD).
