Makaya McCraven Announces 'Universal Beings E&F Sides' Album and Documentary
With new song “Mak Attack.”
Chicago-based producer and drummer Makaya McCraven has announced an extension project and documentary to his 2018 namesake album. The former, titled Universal Beings E&F Sides, will unveil 14 new cuts taken from the original sessions, while the latter, Universal Beings, is directed by Mark Pallman and will reveal a behind-the-scenes making of the drummer’s breakthrough album.
Ahead of either’s releases, the first single from the album, “Mak Attack,” can be streamed via Apple Music below or the artist’s Bandcamp. And the trailer for the documentary can be seen below, which previews its first chapter titled “Strangers In The City.”
The Universal Beings E&F Sides album and Universal Beings documentary will officially release on July 31 on International Anthem.
