IKEA Japan Debuts First Official Apparel Capsule
Eco-friendly essentials from the furniture giant.
IKEA has just debuted its first official apparel capsule. The Swedish design company will be launching the range of goods through its Harajuku outpost in Tokyo.
Dubbed “EFTERTRADA,” the capsule includes a T-shirt, hoodie, umbrella, tote bag, set of towels and water bottles. Most of the items in the range come in white, accented by the company’s signature blue and yellow logo. One noteworthy piece is a hoodie with a large barcode printed across the front. “Design and Quality IKEA of Sweden” appears at the top of the motif, followed by a black model number below that references IKEA’s popular BILLY bookshelf. As a final note, “IKEA” branding is stamped at the back, popping out from the hoodie’s crisp eco-friendly cotton base. Other pieces like the white and yellow water bottles, foldable umbrella and eco tote bag round off the concise assemblage.
IKEA’s upcoming “EFTERTRADA” 2020 apparel collection will be available for pre-sale on July 31 on IKEA Japan’s website — prices have yet to be revealed.
