EA Sports has just dropped the reveal trailer for UFC 4, along with the game’s cover stars: UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and UFC welterweight Jorge Masvidal.

The game itself will feature a range of different modes providing different fighting experiences to players. Career Mode will allow you to progress from an amateur figther to a UFC star, while multiplayer modes like Blitz Battles or Online World Champions let you test your abilities against other players. EA Sports says that its stand-up gameplay has now been made more responsive, while its takedown and ground mechanics have been completely overhauled to offer more control.

“I am the face of the new wave of UFC fighters, so it feels right to represent the sport on this new generation UFC game,” said Adesanya. “I look forward to my fans playing as me as much as I have enjoyed playing as myself.”

“MMA is more than about the belt. It’s about who you are as a person and the determination that drives a fighter to go from unknown to selling out arenas all over the world,” said Masvidal. “I grew up backyard fighting so it’s exciting for me to see that style of fighting come to UFC 4 where players can bring out their Gamebred mentality.”

EA Sports’ UFC 4 will release globally on August 14 for both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Those who pre-order the game will receive bonus content include boxers Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, as well as a Backyard Customization Pack and Kumite Customization Pack. Purchasing the new title through UFC 3 or UFC 2 will also give you an extra 10 percent discount, 500 UFC points, as well as the martial arts and cinematic legend Bruce Lee. Elsewhere in gaming, Sony has now invested $250 million USD in Epic Games.
