EA Releases First 'UFC 4' Gameplay Trailer
A first look at some of the revamped mechanics.
Shorlty after unveiling UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and UFC welterweight Jorge Masvidal as its new game’s cover stars, EA Sports has now released a full gameplay trailer giving fans a better look at what’s to come in UFC 4.
As you can see in the four-minute video above, the developers has made a number of major changes to the game’s mechanics spanning across all the different fight phases for this fourth installment. Aside from adding more control to the striking, the title utilizes Real Player Motion Technology to enhance the two-player grappling exchanges. There’s also a completely new submission system as well as a complete “devastating ground and pound overhaul.” EA says these changes make UFC 4 “the most authentic and immersive MMA experience to date.”
UFC 4 will release globally August 14 for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Pre-ordering the game will earn you bonus content including boxers Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, along with the Backyard Customization Pack and Kumite Customization Pack. Learn more over on EA Sports’ website now.
Elsewhere in gaming, Rocket League is going free-to-play later this summer.
