CASETiFY has called in Japanese artist Yu Nagaba to decorate its product offerings with his quirky illustrations. Following its project with NEIGHBORHOOD, the mobile accessories maker has partnered up with the artist for a lineup of iPhone cases, AirPod cases, MacBook stickers, wireless chargers and clear shoulder bags, to name a few.
Dubbed “Stay Home, Stay Safe,” the capsule’s theme is centered around quarantining amid COVID-19. Nagaba developed a series of caricatures for each case, depicting people going about their day by lounging indoors. The iPhone case comes with a clear body, in 12 different illustration variations, which can be customized with a name underscoring in Nagaba’s font. Each image is drawn in black and white, complemented with a bold color accent filling in the electronic device or accessory they are depicted using. The same prints also appear over a set of AirPod cases, notebooks, MacBook stickers, wireless chargers and shoulder pouches.
The capsule also features an original framed artwork constructed from a set of iPhone cases that make up a larger image of a lady on her phone. Titled “Chit-Chat,” the piece measures at roughly 60 x 55 x 45cm and comes framed, ready to be hung up as a decorative piece for any living space.
CASETiFY and Yu Nagaba’s accessories capsule is currently available at CASETiFY’s physical pop-up in Hong Kong at The Landmark. “Chit-Chat” will be available for raffle, from June 16 – 29, on CASETiFY’s website where winners will have a chance to purchase the artwork for $5,500 USD.
