New from automotive lifestyle label Period Correct is its Summer 2020 lookbook, full of references to its driver-centric and driving-derived passion.
The lookbook is full of various wares that all remark on the glorious lifestyle of automobiles. Noticeable iconography that denote racing and speed — Formula 1 cars, checkered flags — are discoverable throughout, while more keen eyed drivers will realize the more specific details being referenced. A heavily embroidered jacket with “87-92” winning years in World Rally Championship is a nod to Lancia’s fabled Delta HF Integrale’s dominance in the WRC, while Fiat’s AA Racing logo is cleverly reworked to PDPCT. Other designs pay homage to racing flyers, brands’ legacies, legendary racers and more.
For the layman, the graphics arrive bold but can also be subtle so the automotive lifestyle aspect does not need to be front and centered. Nevertheless, the collection arrives across tees, long sleeves, zip up jackets, work coats, pants, hats and more.
Check out the full lookbook above and be on the lookout for the Summer 2020 collection to release on June 20 over at the Period Correct website.
