nonnative and Suicoke Combine for Duo of Luxe Leather-Equipped Sandals
Reworking the Hunter and Mariner.
Cult Japanese labels nonnative and Suicoke have teamed up for the release of two collaborative sandals, giving the Hunter and Mariner silhouettes a luxe overhaul.
nonnative has added black leather to both pairs, which is complemented by a thick black Vibram sole unit and other black hardware details. The Hunter sandal sports a thick buckle-equipped band over the foot and is finished with a black leather big toe support unit. For the Mariner flip-flop, leather has been applied to the thong straps which are adjustable thanks to a small black buckle.
Both pairs are complete with ergonomic crescent-shaped components on the instep of the footbed which provides comfort and stability. An off white-hued outsole, a small orange badge noting the Vibram technology in each pair, and a Suicoke-branded tab on the straps round out the minimalistic designs.
The nonnative x Suicoke Hunter retails for ¥22,000 JPY (approx. $187 USD), while the Mariner flip-flop retails for ¥16,000 JPY (approx. $150 USD). Both pairs can be purchased from COVERCHORD on June 20.
