YOOX Celebrates 20th Anniversary With Exclusive JW Anderson Capsule
Inspired by the British label’s archive.
YOOX is set to celebrate its 20th anniversary through a new partnership with JW Anderson, which will see the British label launch a genderless collection. Designer Jonathan Anderson has looked through his namesake label’s archives to draw inspiration for the collection, recalling a longstanding relationship with YOOX that included being one of the first participants in 2011’s “The Next Talents” showcase.
The collection’s color palette spans various khaki, brown and grey tones, with a clear British influence running across the pieces. One of the stand-out items is the corduroy trench coat, which features a patchwork aesthetic that has often been present in JW Anderson collections. Footwear in the collection includes classic JW Anderson mules, which come in grey felt.
The collaborative capsule is also genderless, referencing another theme throughout Anderson’s career and, particularly, 2015 when he simultaneously won both Menswear Designer of the Year and Womenswear Designer of the Year at the British Fashion Awards.
