TAGS WKGPTY Realizes Vincent Van Gogh's Hand-Written Letters in Capsule Collection
Enlisting the Van Gogh Museum’s archives.
Japan’s TAGS WKGPTY and the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam have teamed up for a special capsule collection championing Vincent Van Gogh‘s hand-written letters.
The Van Gogh Museum houses 200 paintings, 500 drawings, and 750 written documents which have served as inspiration for this collection. It comprises T-shirts, shirts, trousers, bags, a badge, and a set of pencils, the latter nodding to Van Gogh’s medium, with all featuring different scripts.
For example, the Palette T-shirt in white incorporates a passage from Van Gogh’s 1882 piece The Hague, and places this writing alongside a small doodled bird. The Erase T-shirt combines dual branding on the front with a passage from Arles, which is also a part of the South of France where Van Gogh lived for a year.
