Pikachu is gracing the front of one of Kanro‘s most popular sweets, Puré gummies. Known for its distinctive sour taste and chewy texture, Puré has been Kanro’s signature treat since its debut in 2002.

Puré gummies often come in the shape of small hearts, and sometimes star shapes are thrown in. With this release, however, Pikachu-shaped gummies will be included for the first time. Dubbed “Electric Tropica,” the new candy will take on a citrusy tropical flavor, imbued with notes of pine, banana and mango fruit juice — sweetness balanced out by fizzy soda sour powders. Furthermore, packaging for this release comes in four unique designs, each showing different angles and expressions of Pikachu’s head over a light green background.

Kanro’s Puré Pikachu “Electric Tropica” flavor will be released for a limited time starting June 2 at select retailers for ¥150 JPY (approximately $1.50 USD).
