Nike Tailwind 79 OG Receives Vintage "Track Red" Colorway
A bold palette for the retro runner.
Nike has unveiled a brand new spin on its classic Tailwind 79 OG. Following its denim-clad iteration from back in February, the American footwear giant has opted for a more throwback rendition of the retro silhouette — “Track Red.”
Starting at the top of the shoe is a vintage label placed over a semi-exposed tongue. Flat white laces appear along the forefoot, complemented by red suede-tinged eyelet panels. At the heel counter is a smooth full-grain leather panel etched with a retro “Nike” patch logo. To emphasize the shoe’s sleek construction, its sidewalls have been rendered with intricately woven mesh fabrics, complete with a large leather Swoosh. All of these details rest over a clean white articulated midsole, accompanied by a highly treaded outsole for extra traction and support.
The Nike Tailwind 79 OG “Track Red” is currently available on Goodhood’s website for $98 USD.
