After the Air Max 90 “Reverse Duck Camo” released as part of 2020’s Air Max Day festivities, Nike has prepared another camo-equipped AM90 makeup: the “Green Duck Camo.” Mixing a bright “Ghost Green” shade with an alternate iteration of the heritage-style camouflage pattern that atmos popularized in 2013, the “Green Duck Camo” is an amalgamation of two signature Nike Sportswear styles.
Although the vivid green-toned mesh base instantly demands attention, the most notable modification on the “Green Duck Camo” is the shifted shade employed by its hunt-ready pattern. Past “Duck Camo” styles have used a woodland-esque mix of hues, but here the camo veers more towards the desert end of the spectrum. The tongue and overlays it’s placed on are dressed in a sandy tan, and the pattern itself uses brown, grey and bronze instead of the dark forest green tones present on prior iterations.
Black branded accents and eyestays offer a stark contrast with the rest of the light and bright pieces. Down below, EVA foam midsoles are split in between white and black, the latter of which encases a volt green Air Max cushioning unit. Bright green outsoles complete the look.
The Air Max 90 “Green Duck Camo” was originally unveiled by Thabo Sefolosha of the Houston Rockets, who’s played exclusively in the running-turned lifestyle model for several years. It was then teased again by Michael Jordan‘s son/Trophy Room founder Marcus Jordan. Now, it’s set to release at Nike SNKRS KR and other stockists come May 15, and is priced at $140 USD.
