Shortly after learning about Drop 1 of the NIGO x Virgil Abloh LV² collection, we now have a closer look at the inaugural release of the collaboration. Borne out of a longstanding camaraderie, Virgil invited NIGO to create a one-off line fusing their sensibilities under the guise of Louis Vuitton for his first cooperative project at the luxury fashion house.
As revealed, the LV² collection fuses LV’s Monogram and Damier check patterns most prominently on the denim options which include jackets, trousers, shirts and bobs. Accents found on the duo’s jean styles include bright yellow stitching, dynamic wavy paneling and striking orange leather LV² debossed tags. Antique bronze-toned hardware marked with branding engraving both reference and celebrate Louis Vuitton’s malletier roots. Fitted suiting options come in marled tone-on-tone monogram and checkered wool subtly decorated with choice tonal LV² embroidery. The simple accent is continued on a clean white button-up shirt that is perfectly paired with a marled skinny-tie complete with an “LV MADE” flat polar bear embroidery.
