NetherRealm Studios recently revealed gameplay of the three new fighters coming to Mortal Kombat: Aftermath, and now the trailer above showcases all of the newly added Friendships expected to arrive alongside the DLC expansion.

The footage above reveals various Kombatants performing lighthearted finishing moves, like Liu Kang disco dancing on an illuminated floor, The Joker getting attacked with one of Batman‘s Batarangs, the Terminator performing motorcycle tricks, and sisters Kitana and Meleena playing a clapping game. The footage above closes with Sonya requesting Jax to play the saxophone in a flashy montage. Most of the trailer is scored to Smash Mouth’s version of “Why Can’t We Be Friends” by War.

Friendships will be available as a free content update for all Mortal Kombat 11 players, which is poised to arrive on the same day as the new Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath expansion. The free update will also give players access to Stage Fatalities and come with the new Dead Pool, Soul Chamber, Kronika’s Keep, and RetroKade stages.

Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath will cost $39.99 USD as standalone DLC for Mortal Kombat 11. However, purchasing the Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath Kollection for $59.99 USD bundles the vanilla edition of the game, the Kombat Pack, which includes previous DLC characters and skins, as well as the new Aftermath content.
