Knxwledge Serves up Smokey 'HX.PRT14.8' Mixtape
Featuring a dozen compact, R&B-sampling tracks.

Always-busy producer Knxwledge has delivered the latest in his ongoing Hexual Sealings mixtape series with the snappy HX.PRT14.8. Clocking in at just over 22-and-a-half minutes, the Stones Throw affiliate and NxWorries co-founder offers up a plethora of tweaked samples and laid-back beats.
As is the norm for Knxwledge’s Hexual Sealings mixtapes, the songs on HX.PRT14.8 source a wide variety of R&B and soul classics, ranging from Erykah Badu to Aaliyah to a soulful flip of Lil Yachty’s “Oprah’s Bank Account.” Similarly, like previous entries in the series, the mixtape’s artwork is a cartoon reference, with HX.PRT14.8 sourcing an illustration from famous animator Maurice Noble. Knxwledge has also edited together live performances from some of the musicians sampled on the tape, synced to his tracks and posted on Instagram.
