Tyshawn Jones Teases Fucking Awesome x adidas Tyshawn Collaboration

2018 Thrasher Skater of the Year Tyshawn Jones has teased a new Fucking Awesome x adidas Tyshawn collaboration. Bringing the Bronx-born skateboarder’s two main sponsors together, the design melds Jones’ basketball-inspired signature silhouette with FA’s brash branding.
As can be seen in Jones’ anti COVID-19 coronavirus-captioned post above, the shoe serves up a supple yellow suede upper with recognizable black-outlined “FUCKING” and “AWESOME” graphics split between the left and right feet. In another interesting touch, the midfoot’s Three Stripe overlay is totally translucent. Black laces, collar trim and midsole foxing combine with these graphics for a Wu-Tang Clan-esque mix of tones, and traditional gum midsoles/outsoles ground the look both literally and figuratively.
A release date for the Fucking Awesome x adidas Tyshawn has yet to be announced, but if it’s not a 1-off for Jones it’ll likely arrive later this summer — potentially alongside the other two adidas silhouettes FA head Jason Dill teased in a recent interview with popular skateboarding podcast The Nine Club.
Jumping across the pond, Palace and adidas Skateboarding recently teamed up on Lucas Puig‘s latest signature silhouette: the aptly-named adidas PUIG.
