Ryan McGinley, FriendsWithYou and More Join Rainbow Contemporary for Charity T-Shirts
100% of proceeds will benefit the Save the Children Fund.

Newly launched virtual museum featuring rainbow-colored works of art Rainbow Contemporary is partnering with the charity Save the Children for a five-piece capsule collection aiding COVID-19 hunger relief. The T-shirts were designed by renowned photographer Ryan McGinley, artist duo FriendsWithYou, seminal New York-based artist Richard Phillips and Los Angeles-based artist Sarah Cain.
The classic cotton tees boast a variety of different graphics, including an all-over print of Phillips’ Spectrum painting from 1998, a photograph of McGinley’s Falling (Light Leak) from 2013, and a playful design of FriendsWithYou’s iconic cloud characters. All of the proceeds from the T-shirt sales will go towards Save the Children, which will provide food to out-of-school children in the U.S. The collection is the first to kick off a series of collaborations with artists that showcase Rainbow Contemporary’s aim to “bring hope and happiness to all through creative and charitable projects.”
Rainbow Contemporary expects to open a physical space in New York in 2021 and showcase contemporary art that highlights color and light. In the meantime, shop the Save the Children COVID-19 relief T-shirts on Rainbow Contemporary’s web shop for $45 USD each.
In other news, the New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) has launched a virtual fair to help galleries turn profits during the COVID-19 pandemic.
