Don Toliver Premieres "Cardigan" Music Video
Starring model Draya Michele.
Cactus Jack and Houston’s own Don Toliver solidified himself as one of hip-hop’s rising stars with the release of his debut album Heaven or Hell, a 12-track homage to his hometown that blended psychedelic influences with his incredible ear for melody and ever-growing singing chops. Today he returns with the music video for “Cardigan” starring model Draya Michele.
The visual follows Draya at home practicing social distancing and enjoying a glass of red wine before shooting some pool, ultimately winding down her evening by shooting a video for that special someone in her life. The video follows the surprise release of Don’s Heaven or Hell: Chopped and Screwed remix album that harkened back to the early 1990s movement championed by DJ Screw.
“Cardigan” is Toliver’s first official video since celebrating the release of his album in his “After Party” music video. Earlier this month, he joined Apple Music’s Up Next program to spotlight artists on the rise. “I’m hyped for my fans to get a better glimpse at who I am and excited for the opportunity given,” he said of the initiative premiered on HYPEBEAST.
