Lady Gaga Surprises With New Ariana Grande Collaboration "Rain On Me"
The second single and music video from ‘Chromatica’.
Two of the biggest names in popular music today, Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande, have set the internet ablaze by joining forces for their new “Rain On Me” collaboration and music video. The track was originally premiered at midnight with the surprise visual launching this afternoon. Gaga tapped Ariana for the second single from her upcoming Chromatica project, due out May 29, following the release of “Stupid Love” back in February.
The visual is a futuristic cyberpunk-styled offering dripped in metallic with intricate dance numbers that are most likely already being imitated on TikTok. Knives fall from the sky during a torrential downpour, Lady Gaga suffers a leg wound, and fishnets and spiked hair abound. The song is an amalgamation of electronica, pop and disco co-produced by Burns, Tchami and BloodPop. Songwriting duties go to German producer Boys Noize and Rami Yacoub (who is best known for helping to create Britney Spears’ iconic “…Baby One More Time”.)
“Rain On Me” comes after a busy week for Ariana in which she and collaborator Justin Bieber defended the No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 placement of their hit single “Stuck With U” after controversial rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine claimed there was foul play in an unproven conspiracy against his single “GOOBA”. Lady Gaga also took to Twitter for a heartfelt message, thanking Ariana Grande for reminding her that she’s still strong.

Thank you for reminding me I’m strong, I’m super emotional and love you so very much, I cherish you @ArianaGrande and little monsters without you I don’t know how I would survive. I’d rather be dry, but at least I’m alive.
