Netflix has just unveiled a brand new trailer for Baki: The Great Raitai Tournament Saga, Season 2 of the original series that’s been renewed by the streaming giant. The trailer follows a flurry of teasers that Netflix has been putting out over the last few months, like the season’s opening and ending, offering eager fans a better glimpse of what to expect from the upcoming saga.
The trailer measures at approximately a minute and 45 seconds, kicking off in a full stadium at the “Centennial Tournament” in China — a “grand [fighting] event that’s held once every 100 years.” Baki Hanma is seen charged up grappling with a series of tough opponents. In one cut, Baki is shown covered in blood as he gets plummeted to the floor. According to Netflix, the protagonist “gives all to fight back from the brink of death.” Other parts of the trailer show short moments of other menacing characters that take on all sorts of fighting styles, like Han Kaiō who, dressed in a kung-fu ensemble, gives Baki a swooping kick.
