A-Trak and Dave 1 Join Forces for New 'The Brothers Macklovitch' Project
Their first single “Get Love To Get Some” features Leven Kali
GRAMMY-nominated siblings A-Trak and Dave 1 have finally joined forces to create their new The Brothers Macklovitch project, tapping Leven Kali for the first single titled “Get Love To Get Some.”
The two pull from some early influences like Jamiroquai, Brand New Heavies and Masters At Work to meld some soulful production and upbeat tempo that highlights the ever-growing talent of Leven’s vocals. According to a recent press release, remixes of “Give Love To Get Some” are coming in the near future alongside a livestream slated for Saturday, May 30 at 8:00PM ET on BeApp, a new social streaming platform aimed to bring live music moments into your home during the current coronavirus quarantines. The single follows their “So Ready (The Brothers Macklovitch Remix)” from earlier this year featuring Raphael Saadiq.
Leven is coming off of his HIGHTIDE full-length album released at the top of the month that saw his sultry singing aided by a star-studded tracklisting featuring the likes of Syd, Smino and Ty Dolla $ign.
