YoungBoy Never Broke has dropped off his newest mixtape, 38 Baby 2. Clocking in at approximately 45 minutes with 17 tracks, his latest project includes only two guest verses from his mother Sherhonda Gaulden on the opener “Bout My Business” and DaBaby on “Thug Of Spades.”
Billed as the official follow-up to his 2016 breakout project 38 Baby, the new mixtape arrives only two months after Still Flexin, Still Steppin, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. The Baton Rouge rapper announced that he will be taking a break from music after the release of 38 Baby 2, tweeting, “After Friday I’ll never release a song/album again until I’m in a better situation #PROMISE.”
NBA YoungBoy has spent the last two years dropping projects non-stop, including his debut studio album Until Death Call My Name, the 4Respect, 4Freedom and 4Loyalty series and AI YoungBoy and AI YoungBoy 2. A number of those releases received commercial success, with Until Death Call My Name peaking at No. 7 and AI YoungBoy 2 at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
