T-Mobile Completes Merger With Sprint
Now servicing more than 100 million users.

Earlier this week, telecom service provider T-Mobile has finalized its merger with previous competitor Sprint, bringing together the US’ third and fourth-largest carriers.
The two combined now boast more than 100 million users, pitting them up closer against the larger Verizon and AT&T. With this merger, both networks will remain functional, with increased performance both in terms of coverage and speed thanks to access to T-Mobile’s roaming service and Speed’s spectrum. Prices for their various plans will also remain the same for at least the next three years, an agreement T-Mobile made after antitrust regulators expressed concerns about the merger between two large-scale competitors.
As for those using Sprint’s prepaid option Boost, you’ll be transferred over to Dish as a result of a divestiture ordered by the Justice Department. Dish had previously announced that it would launch its own network and acquire Boost within 30 days of T-Mobile completing its merger with Sprint. There’s yet to be any news on how Dish’s service will be, but the satellite provider is currently able to tap into T-Mobile’s own network for the coming seven years.
