Martine Rose and Farah Craft Voluminous Silhouettes for SS20
Two British labels get in touch with their roots.

Martine Rose and Farah have teamed up for a concise range of bold Spring/Summer 2020 styles. The two British labels have taken design cues from the past, enlivening retro-inspired concepts with garments like massive trousers, an indigo-dyed chore coat, and crisp button-ups.
One noteworthy piece is a billowing pair of trousers that come in a rich hazel brown palette. The piece is mainly slim at the waist but expands significantly towards the hemline. It sports subtle pleating, twin waist pockets and a light, breezy texture for extra breathability for warm summer days. Another highlight is a color-blocked half-zip knit sweater. Complete with raised collars, the uppermost section of the garment is set in heather gray, followed by a thick navy panel and thin white stripes. At the bottom of the piece, “Martine Rose” and “Farah” co-branding are emblazoned in a grid-like pattern, offsetting the clean, minimal look of the upper parts. Other pieces like the baggy gray trousers, wine-colored V-neck sweater and skinny denim pants round up the concise assemblage.
