Wood Wood and Disney Celebrate Early Mickey Mouse Films With New Collaboration
Referencing original short films from the 1920s.
After taking part in the five-way “TOGETHER” project, Copenhagen-based label Wood Wood has revealed its latest collaboration with Disney. The new capsule takes inspiration from early Mickey and Minnie Mouse films, particularly referencing the classic animation style of the characters from their origins in the 1920s.
The collection is titled “MMM” in reference to the two characters, with a common theme being the original Disney shorts. Prints across the collection take frames from these shorts, which have been reworked to create a number of new patterns. This imagery covers sweatshirts, tees, and accessories, as well as a range of shirts featuring all-over graphic prints.
The Disney x Wood Wood capsule covers menswear, womenswear and kidswear, and will be available via the Wood Wood web store from April 30, before arriving at select stockists on May 14.
