U-Treasure Immortalizes Magikarp in 18k Gold and Silver
Only 129 made.
If you’ve ever wanted to take your favorite Pokémon with you wherever you go like Ash does with Pikachu, and your companion of choice happens to be the glorious Magikarp, today is your lucky day: Japanese accessories company U-Treasure has crafted a limited-edition necklace of the water-type Pokémon you can wear.
Immortalizing the Gyarados-to-be in either silver or a luxurious 18k gold, the brand has captured the majestic beauty of this fictional fish in his most impressive moment, performing its Splash attack, which playfully earns the response of “But nothing happened” in the original video games. Given the Pokémon’s 129 index number, U-Treasure has decided to pay tribute by crafting only 129 of these covetable necklaces, 119 of them being made in silver and just 10 in 18k gold. The gold version even comes with its very own paulownia wood box for safekeeping or to be displayed, emblazoned with a gold Pokéball.
For those interested, U-Treasure’s Magikarp necklaces are now available over on its online store, retailing for roughly $125 USD for the silver version and $1,250 USD for the gold edition.
