The Weeknd's Visual for "In Your Eyes" Channels '80s Slasher Films
Watch Abel get decapitated.
With the dust settling after the release of his highly-anticipated fourth studio album, After Hours, Abel Tesfaye — better known as The Weeknd — has shared a new visual for “In Your Eyes,” tapping frequent collaborator Anton Tammi to direct the clip. The disco-fueled track’s video sees a nostalgic blend reminiscent of classic ‘80s slasher films, which sees Tesfaye’s crimson-suited double stalking a young woman (played by Zaina Miuccia) with a massive knife at an “After Hours” dance. It doesn’t end well for him however, as he soon gets decapitated.
After Hours follows 2018’s My Dear Melancholy, and includes singles “Heartless,” “Blinding Lights,” and “After Hours.” The XO Records frontman just yesterday shared a deluxe version of the album, which includes remixes from Chromatics, OPN, and The Blaze, equally tapping Lil Uzi Vert for a remix of “Heartless.” The album is currently headed to debut at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200.
