Fresh off collaborations with Timberland and RAMMELLZEE, Supreme is now taking it from the block to the open road with an expansive Automobili Lamborghini capsule. Equipping bright colors that draw from Lamborghini’s most famous automobiles like the Diablo, Murciélago and Aventador, each offering also makes use of the Italian automaker’s iconic bull logo.
Seven pieces are present, each dressed in rich black, blaze orange or neon green tones: hooded work jackets, hockey jerseys, short-sleeve shirts, mechanic coveralls, T-shirts, skateboards and beanies. All feature bold black/yellow Automobili Lamborghini emblems and Supreme hits, but of special note are the quilted shop jackets, sporty hockey jerseys and bold short-sleeve shirts, the last of which blows its branding up to massive proportions. This bull motif can be traced back to Lamborghini’s inception in 1963; brand founder Ferruccio Lamborghini’s zodiac sign is Taurus, and he was known to be enthralled by Spanish bullfighting.
As Supreme’s US and UK retail locations are still closed due to the threat posed by the coronavirus, the Automobili Lamborghini x Supreme collection will release on the Supreme webstore April 2 at 11 a.m. EST. It’ll then arrive at Japanese doors and the Supreme JP online shop come April 2. Supreme is also waving shipping fees on orders over $150 USD due to the aforementioned store closures.
Most recently, Supreme worked with long-time collaborator Richardson for a dual-branded T-shirt project titled ‘Unconditional.’
