After unveiling its collaboration with Brain Dead as part of its technical SS20 range, ROA has returned with brand new designs of its trail-friendly Oblique sneaker. This time around, the footwear label has given the model crisp white and navy colorways, embellished with intricate honeycomb weaves.
Starting at the top of the silhouette, ROA branding is embroidered at the lateral side of the tongue over a bed of sleek weatherized fabric. Placed along the edges of the tongue and upper collars are thin strips of mesh, followed by a textured honeycomb pattern that covers most of the body. Furthermore, additional branding appears along the leather toecap in thin white outlines. One distinctive feature of the shoe is the heel counter panel: it comes in a hi-tech granular fabric that uses the same aramid fiber that’s found in bulletproof vests for high durability and shear resistance. All of these details sit atop an articulated midsole, equipped with an essential Vibram foundation that offers extra traction on harsh terrains.
The ROA Oblique Mesh Trail Sneakers in white and navy are currently available at MATCHESFASHION’s website for $268 USD.
