25 Years of Supreme Accessories Are Captured & Discussed in 'Object Oriented'
Byron Hawes’ latest anthology spotlights the most notable pieces.

Design critic Byron Hawes has returned with Object Oriented: An Anthology of Supreme Accessories from 1994 — 2018. The book follows on from last year’s Art on Deck, the extensive coffee table book that cataloged all of Supreme’s skateboards from 1998 to 2018.
In Object Oriented, Hawes puts the spotlight on Supreme’s humble, tongue-in-cheek beginnings and everything that has since come, such as collaborations with fragment design on its sought-after bike chain, to the Coleman Mini Bike and numerous peices with Spalding.
Furthermore, Object Oriented captures the only known complete Supreme accessories and sticker collection. Within the book, you’ll find conversations with noted collectors and designers, and as the book’s Amazon overview states, Hawes posits “a theory that ‘Preme’s design output is actually a highly curated alt-design museum, proposing an ongoing series of highly important and overlooked quotidian industrial design icons.”
