Haider Ackermann Focuses on Textiles & Fabrics for FW20
Bringing velvet, silk and wool to Paris Fashion Week.

Haider Ackermann‘s eponymous label has presented its Fall/Winter 2020 collection for men and women at Paris Fashion Week.
In true Ackermann form the runway brought a focus on fabrics, giving lush textiles such as velvet, wool and satin bold colors in order to reimagine tailoring. Pieces were avant-garde for their cuts — notable inclusions being tops and blazers with geometric cut-outs — while others perfected tradition, exhibited with pieces such as a military green woolen double-breasted overcoat.
Alongside this presentation was reconsidered suiting, with a camel wool cropped double-breasted blazer with baggy turned-up pants being just one example. Elsewhere, Ackermann served up brightly colored suits that nodded to traditional tuxedos with their contrasting shiny lapels, and continued to switch things up once more with a velour tracksuit that was finished with inscribed taping, signature branding and printed slogans.
It was a strong presentation from the lauded designer, with leather trousers, minimalistic footwear and geometric patterns taking form on even more suits rounding out the FW20 offering. Take a look at everything above.
