The campaign has been shot by Bram Spaan, a photographer who chose to capture the skilled manufacturing process involved in creating a Karhu sneaker. By suspending the new Fusion 2.0 sneakers with color-matched pieces of thread, Spaan highlights the significance of a correctly-stitched upper and how the material is just as strong and flexible as it is integral to the shoemaking process.
Karhu’s upcoming Fusion 2.0s are available in two colorways — “Cameo Blue/Lily White” and “Rainy Day/Antique Moss.” The pairs combine premium suede with mesh, and sport a number of standout finishing touches such as 3M detailing on the toe box, the slogan “Finnsport” at the lateral rear-quarter, as well as 3M-threaded webbing along the mid-panels.
Elsewhere the sneaker features a full-length Fulcrum sole unit that encourages a smooth ride, a touch of leather at the rear, and hiking-indebted laces.
