Azizi Gibson & AKTHESAVIOR Unveil Feverish Nocturnal Visuals for "Change That Back"
Marking the first single after ‘Chimera Act.’
Following visuals for “5 Page Letter” from back in December, Azizi Gibson has returned with a new music video for his single “Change That Back,” featuring Brooklyn rapper AKTHESAVIOR.
Set amidst a feverish nocturnal glow, the music video stars both artists going back to back with clever lines and their unique vocal cadences. The song measures at approximately three minutes and 18 seconds, kicked off by ethereal synths chords as swirling guitar licks and heavy bass drums join the lush arrangement later on. As the snares and hi-hats come in, the track’s sinister midtempo groove becomes more apparent. Gibson comes through with the verse first, followed by a melodic hook that doesn’t rely on any auto-tuned: notable quotes include lines like “I just want paper, don’t preach / I don’t like playing, don’t reach.” Finally, AKTHESAVIOR shakes things up with a full verse that has a busier flow than the first verse, offering a dynamic overall sound to the smooth track.
