Jordan Brand Debuts Delta Lifestyle Silhouette
Artisanal craftsmanship meets high-tech materials.
Jordan Brand has officially debuted a new Delta lifestyle silhouette. First previewed by CLOT founder Edison Chen, the Delta melds two of Jordan Brand’s key values: artisanal craftsmanship and high-tech performance materials.
Boasting a versatile low-cut construction, the Delta is constructed of a breathable mesh that’s overlaid with suede and synthetics alike. Extra padding is present on the exposed foam tongue and supple heel collar, while a seamless liner ensures no-frills comfort. Raised eyestays add to the technical look, with branding largely kept to a minimum — save for text on the tongue/heel pull tabs and a hand-drawn take on the classic ball and wings logo gracing the heel. Midsoles are made fully of soft React foam and use textures that match the outsole’s noodled traction pattern for a look not unlike that presented by 2019’s high-top Proto React.
Three colorways will accompany the Delta’s launch: “Vachetta Tan,” “Black” and a “Sail/Photo Blue-White” SP. “Vachetta Tan” uses luxurious tan tones accented by pops of red for a Tom Sachs-esque style that’s modified by minty green embellishments. “Black” is classic Jordan Brand, stark black shades emblazoned with red branding above a gray midsole. Finally, the SP presents a crisp and breezy look, playing up its technical construction by adding more new-age synthetics into the mix.
The Delta SP will release April 4, the “Vachetta Tan” in a full family size run on May 14 and the “Black” on June 6, all via the Nike webstore and select stockists. Each pair is priced at $150 USD.
