If Hit-Boy and Boi-1da’s heat-filled “Beat Battle You Don’t Want To Miss” wasn’t enough for hip-hop fans this weekend, The-Dream and Sean Garrett’s songwriter’s battle surely was. Going at each other’s discographies and unreleased material for nearly four hours, fans debated who won each round in the comment section, with many taking to Twitter to voice their opinions on each of the artist’s offerings. However, it was when The-Dream dropped an unreleased version of JAY-Z’s “Holy Grail” that set the internet off.

The track, which appeared on Hov’s 2013 album Magna Carta Holy Grail, initially featured vocals from Justin Timberlake, yet The-Dream debuted a version of the track with his vocals instead of Timberlake’s. “JAY’s probably gonna kill me for playing this,” The-Dream shared, who co-wrote and produced the Billboard-charting song.
Less than a day following The-Dream playing the unreleased track, Tidal released the studio version for fans to stream. You can listen to it below.
