Roc Nation has officially dismissed rumors claiming that a new JAY-Z album is completed

Music executive Ray Daniels previously stated on his podcast that the follow-up to 4:44 was fully finished

The agency responded directly via social media by calling the speculation fake news

Roc Nation has officially shut down speculation regarding an upcoming JAY-Z album, directly responding to circulating industry claims. The company addressed rumors suggesting that a new full-length studio project from the Brooklyn rap icon was finished.

The response followed comments made by music executive Ray Daniels during a recent episode of his Ray Daniels Presents podcast. Daniels claimed that Hov’s direct follow-up to 2017’s 4:44 was “completely done,” asserting that a source had confirmed the project’s completion pending potential brand partnerships. Roc Nation swiftly quieted the conversation with a statement posted to its official Instagram Story reading, “‘Album done’ … Fake news.”

Talk of new solo material had gained traction among fans following JAY-Z’s return to live performances this year, including an appearance at Roots Picnic and a three-night headlining run at Yankee Stadium, alongside scheduled Reasonable Doubt 30th anniversary shows in London, Paris, and Los Angeles. Although the artist recently contributed a guest verse to Beyoncé’s “Morning Dew (Donk) Remix Pack.” JAY-Z previously explained in an interview that he is prioritizing authentic, fulfilling creation over external musical timelines.
