Il Bisonte x Mizuno Mondo Control Offers Refined Construction
Luxe Italian leathers meet sporty Japanese design.

Italian luxury leather brand Il Bisonte and Mizuno have teamed up for a refined take on the Mondo Control. Fresh off of compelling projects with HANON and Wood Wood, Mizuno is continuing to elevate its heritage silhouettes. Thanks to Il Bisonte’s signature touch, this special Mondo Control adds a mix of elegant materials onto its sporty Japanese design.
Originally released in 1995, the Mondo Control was designed to provide stability and support to all types of runners. This was achieved through a heavily layered upper and wide midsole, the former of which provides a perfect home for Il Bisonte’s signature leathers. Branded heels and unadorned collars alike are lined with vachetta tan hides, while smooth and stark gray leather and supple black suede alike sit atop the gray mesh base.
Meanwhile, Mizuno’s signature Runbird logo and the laces are both dressed in a lighter gray shade for a finishing touch of contrast. A thick white EVA foam midsole, gray plastic support shanks and a black rubber outsole finalize the look.
The Il Bisonte x Mizuno Mondo Control will release on the Mizuno JP webstore come March 21, and retails for a tax-included price of ¥23,100 JPY (approximately $212 USD).
