For one last iteration of the duo’s ongoing collaboration, Freemans Sporting Club and Seiko have reunited for another understated Prospex Diver’s watch. Executed in tonal black, the classic watch is relatively unchanged, celebrating the versatile shape and timeless detailing.

The watch’s revamped bezel is one of the few subtle alterations made to the original Prospex Diver’s design, with conventional elements elevated by way of quietly functional touches. For instance, the hands and markers sport Lumibright coating for low-visibility viewing, while the housing is rendered in all-black to obscure any dings or dents that may come its way. Seiko’s solar-powered Caliber V147 quartz movement ensures approximately one full year of use and a silicon strap allows the wearer to shrug off water with ease. “Limited Edition” text emblazoned on the rear of the case commemorates the special release.

Only Freemans Sporting Club’s Japanese site, domestic flagships and URBAN RESEARCH’s web store will offer the exclusive timepiece when it launches March 20 for ¥45,000 JPY (approximately $415 USD).

Muted black watches have emerged en masse recently, ranging from Bremont’s ALT1-P2 Jet Pilot’s Watch to a utilitarian G-SHOCK DW DW5610 pack.
