MEANSWHILE & Danner Connect for Urbanized Take on Mountain Light Boot
Three unique colorways featuring a reflective fastening system.

Following its collaboration back in 2018, Japanese outdoor style imprint MEANSWHILE has once again teamed up with Danner for a new take on the boot company’s Mountain Light model. Reworking the timeless silhouette for both wilderness and urban-dwelling life, the boot features the unique fastening system showcased in the first collaboration, this time opting for bold reflective taping that’s been crimped onto the fastening system.
Offered up in three unique iterations — a smooth leather option in black and two suede iterations in navy and brown — the boot’s fastening system is secured via a ladder lock buckle on the lateral side and hook-and-loop fastener on the medial side. Other features include a rugged-yet-comfortable Vibram outsole, full leather lining, and branding details on the heel. Danner’s logo can be seen debossed into the leather, whereas MEANSWHILE’s logo takes the form of a navy tag with white contrast stitching. As is expected, these boots will gain character over time, developing a unique patina to either of the leather options available.
