ASICS Unveils Deconstructed GEL-Venture Re in "Beige" & "Black"
Modeled after the trail-friendly GEL-Venture 6.

ASICS has unveiled a new silhouette for SS20. Dubbed the GEL-Venture Re, the shoe is largely modeled after the trail-friendly GEL-Venture 6, giving it a chunkier build with a bevy of add-ons, like small details borrowed from the GEL-Kayano Trainer. The result is a functional, all-encompassing lifestyle silhouette that’s embellished with deconstructed elements.
Coming in light “Beige” and “Black,” the sneakers are made up of a mix of materials like mesh, suede, nylon, and rubber, offering a dynamic range of contrasting textures. Starting at the top of the silhouette is a woven “ASICS” logo that’s been sewn over a deconstructed tongue. The shoe comes with round laces looped through a long ripstop panel at the upper quarter as well as a rubber ASICS side stripe overlay that doubles as an eyelet panel. Below the batted nylon collars is a suede-tinged heel counter, matching the material of the toecap — the toebox has been given a breathable mesh base. All of these details sit atop a slightly arched midsole that’s been optimized with ASICS’ essential GEL cushioning technology, allowing the shoe to pack on some serious mileage.
The ASICS GEL-Venture Re in “Beige” & “Black” is currently available at atmos’ website for $115 USD.
