Converse Japan Drops Weatherized All-Star 100 GORE-TEX Hi
Clad with premium brushed suede and ballistic nylon.
After just presenting a set of golf-friendly footwear, Converse Japan has unveiled a weatherized take on the All-Star 100 Hi silhouette, giving it a functional GORE-TEX update in colorways of “Sand Beige” and “Black.”
Placed at the top of the tongue is “GORE-TEX” branding, set over a delicately brushed suede foundation. The material covers all of the tongue, eyelet panels and heel counter, complemented by tonal laces and silver-toned eyelets. To offset the premium suede fabrics, the shoe boasts tonal ballistic nylon from the upper collars to the lower midsection. Furthermore, Converse’s iconic All-Star logo is woven at the medial sides of the upper ankle, while a tiny “GORE-TEX” tab sticks out from the lateral edge of the backstay. All of these details are placed over a clean white midsole, accompanied by thin black foxing at the top as well as a black bumper logo at the heel.
Though no exact release dates have been revealed yet, Converse Japan’s All-Star 100 GORE-TEX Hi “Sand Beige” and “Black” are slated to arrive at the label’s website in the month of March for $163 USD.
