Amazon Prime Video has just announced that the Comedy Central/CBC Canadian sketch comedy show The Kids in the Hall will be making a triumphant return. The new season will see actors Dave Foley, Kevin McDonald, Scott Thompson, Mark McKinney and Bruce McCulloch back in action along with a few new additions.

Airing from 1989 – 1995, the TV show was known for the characters’ over-the-top pop culture parodies, satirical monologues, and recurring characters like The Chicken Lady, Headcrusher, and Bauer. The show went on to win a Rose d’Or in 1993 and was awarded a star on Canada’s Walk of Fame.

The return of The Kids in the Hall, produced by Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels, will see 8 new episodes and will be the first Canadian Amazon Original series.

For more entertainment news, HBO is developing The Last of Us TV show.
