CJ Fly's 'Rudebwoy' Is a Masterful Take on NYC's Boom Bap Roots
Produced entirely by Statik Selektah.

Pro Era member CJ Fly has released his debut album, Rudebwoy. Produced entirely by fellow NYC heavyweight Statik Selektah, CJ’s first major full-length is chock full with contemporary takes on old school boom bap flavor.
For the 13-track album, CJ Fly has recruited an array of his Pro Era family and more, tapping the likes of Joey Bada$$, Nick Caution, Kirk Knight, Dessy Hinds, T’nah, and Conway the Machine, amongst others, for the record. As soulful boom bap beats take hold across the album, CJ Fly ensures that his stream of consciousness remains intact. He doesn’t shy away from showcasing his masterful poetics, painting endearing lyrical portraits with his above-the-bar penmanship. All of this comes together in Rudebwoy’s final track, “The Pros,” which is full-fledged Pro Era flavor.
