Following its Four-Bar Applique Longwing Brogue from last month, Thom Browne has returned with a creative spin on the silhouette, this time giving it a baseball-inspired makeover. Featured is the Longwing Baseball Brogue Sneakers in a crisp colorway that embodies the design of a traditional baseball.
Set atop a smooth white leather foundation, the sneakers boast contrasting red double-stitching throughout. Starting from the upper collars, the bold threading is seen along the edges of the collars, the vamp and a lower seam that stretches all the way to the wingtip toebox. Besides intricate perforations near the toecap, other details of the shoe remain minimal, like its thin round tonal laces, backstay and brown leather interiors. Furthermore, Thom Browne’s signature tri-color motif is seen in the form of a grosgrain heel pull as well as thinly etched foxing. As a final note, the shoes have been given a clean white margom midsole, adding a casual touch to the dressy wingtip mold.
Thom Browne’s Longwing Baseball Brogue Sneakers are currently available at SSENSE’s website for $990 USD.
