Old-school cartoon fans rejoice: your favorite Japanese warrior Samurai Jack is coming back. Thanks to Adult Swim Games, which is partnering up with Japanese game developer Soleil, the titular character will make his return in the form of a brand new hack-and-slash video game titled Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time.

According to a description of the upcoming title from Adult Swim, players will become Samurai Jack and fight your way through time to stop his nemesis Aku and his evil forces. Written by the show’s head writer Darrick Bachman himself, the story draws from an “untold Samurai Jack adventure that ties into the epic series finale,” and you’ll get the chance to team up with different allies and encounter familiar faces such as The Scotsman, Scaramouche, Sir Rothchild and more. It’s also said to have “over a dozen different weapons” you can choose from and master, with a typical leveling system allowing you to unlock new skills depending on your preferred play style.

Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. There’s currently no official release date yet, but more news will arrive at PAX East, so those interested should definitely keep an eye out for updates.

Elsewhere in gaming, Sony has filed patents for a sensory PS5 controller that can gauge “biofeedback.”
